New Computer

Im sick of playing on this shit laptop so thought i should stop being cheap and buy myself a new laptop/pc.

Gaming wise im assuming that a desktop > laptop

Ive got about 700/800quid I can spend now and buy one, or if i wait until the end of the month about 2grand, Ideally im looking in the region of around 700-1000 for something that will cope with dayz/wow/css etc keeping in mind when css:go comes out etc id like to be able to play them comfortable. My previous pc motherboard blew up, would it be worth just replacing that and playing on the 3/4year old one or just starting from scratch?

What are peoples thoughts on pre made pc's from the likes of pc world etc? or is it better to go privately to smaller companys/buy bits and put it togeather.

General thoughts on what I should and shouldnt get would be appreciated. I am quite impatient so i may sway to the slightly cheaper 700 and buy it today/2moro and then just upgrade it at the endo f the month.

Thoughts?

Love links x

IMO get the i7 2600k, it's not that much more expensive. Sandy Bridge cpu's like the 2500 and 2600k are generally better value than the latest ivy bridge cpus. Anyway, if you get the 2600k it will last you a looong time :)
Also I would get an asus mobo over asrock ones. Also make sure the mobo allows you to easily overclock your cpu.
As for the GPU check the nvidia counterpart for the same price and see which one provides the better performance.

Yea fixxer speaks the truths. Personally I wouldn't touch an AMD card but that's me =P

Agree with mobo being Asus and going i7 instead, more ram might be better, if u can stretch to 16GB do it, a set up like that will last a while.
