SSD makes your PC hyper responsive. You can stack 8 CPUS and tons of ram and it still wouldn't be the same. SSD solves a huuuge bottle neck on performance. To be honest it doesn't really affect games, except for loading times if the game is on the ssd, but it makes everything else on your pc silky smooth and fast :D

TL;DR: windows boots up instantly and programs start extremely fast as well.

so youd suggest chucking one in, apart from that you think its alright? I get the choice of a 60gb, 120gb and 240gb ssd to put in, which is worth it?

I have a 120GB one and it's "just right" for me right now.
The rest of the config is really good, the cpu in your setup is about the same or maybe even better than the i7 we recommended in games and such (it lacks hyper threading or wtv it's called but games don't use that).
I don't know about the video card, maybe the guys can comment: i'm playing on a nvidia 560m on my notebook and on a ati 6970 on my desktop. The 6970 is in some cases better than the nvidia 570 and the 570 is better than the 560.
While the 560 is certainly enough for now I don't know if it's not maybe worth investing in a 580 or 570.

Short story your config is solid :)

English defeated me in this post!

i'd change the card, its fast enough to run things on high/ultra at the moment, but you'll want one that has some room to spare. I think the cpu is overkill for gaming. And you definitely need an SSD it just makes everything better. It makes your new fast computer feel new and fast.
