i dont turn my pc off. ever. its been on for literally 4 weeks without a reboot.

Tests show that keeping it on saves more power than switching it off and on per day, and now most PSUs today have 80 - 90 % efficiency while idle. Just like a car, you use more petrol up if you switch your engine off and on again while waiting at the traffic lights than leaving it on. Its just something I read in PSU reviews, correct me if im wrong.

my computer just goes into power saving when its not being used, or downloading in the background, its usually using around about 100-120 watts when im using it and goes right down to around 40-50 watts when its power saving so yeah its prolly saving power, although if i switched it off while i was at work it would be using about 2 watts and it would be off for around 8 hours or so. So in the end turning it off would be prolly best, but i still dont do that =P
