Text on it for the now: On TeamAFX.net your rank is determined by how many posts you make on the forums. the more posts you make the higher rank you will gain. your rank is displayed on the forums by a karate belt shown below, a list of the post count for the corresponding belt is detailed also. for a bit fun we have added in famous martial arts actors/characters/people based on what colour of belt you have, for example if you have a high ranking belt such as the black belt (8th dan) your rank name would be jackie chan; if your a low rank such as 9th kyu your rank would be Hong Kong Fooey. Articles on the news section will gradually be done for a each character to give you a bit insight into them.

Welcome to the new website for the Battlefield 3 Era of After Effect. We are pretty much going back to our roots by stepping back into an FPS title and running our own server again. As you may already see a few things have changed - the tag is now AFX for a start its now back to "team" as opposed to gaming.

Back when we used to be Deceased Seven in Counterstrike we debated changing our name to something a little more catchy and thanks to Kolddoom After Effect was born. We debated for a while what the new tag should be and eventually decided on AE at the last minute(spelt the foreign way, I can't remeber the alt codes for it), funnily enough we actually went for AFX first and jonnie actually bought the domain http://www.teamafx.net. The reason for the change? Mainly its due to Battlefield doesn't allow for the foreign AE symbol for the clan tag and for a something different we opted to go back to AFX as it sounds a bit more funky than just plain AE.

I hope yous all like and appreciate the new site as a lot of time and effort has went into getting this up and running before BF3 hits. I intend to keep the site updated, I am going to do at least one article every week. The weekly updates will be a variety of stuff like history, member profiles, profiles of the new ranks system, reviews, random stuff on top of my head - if anyone else is interested in doing something give me a shout. Also can I encourage everyone to use the forums a lot more (I thought up a fun Karate ranks system for a bit incentive) and when the server is live in battlefield its essential that you use it as much as possible - its not an easy thing to get a popular active server but we've done it in the past and I think we can do it again.

I've setup facebook, twitter, steam accounts under @teamafx, whether these will be used or not remains to be seen, but we do intend to get quite interactive assuming the server is a success and we get some new faces coming in.

I leave it at that for the now and stay tuned for more content in the coming days/weeks
