It wasn't through choice. Also Arenanet concept is "there is no endgame" it starts from level 1.....

WvW wasen't accessible in the super duper exculsive beta I was in, I believe they did let you go to level 30 at the close of the beta but by the point I was bored of it and even if I knew about it at the time it was late on a sunday in US time. I seen nothing in that beta to justify forking out £50 to play in the other beta's, hence why I haven't played it.

From a guild in WoW that basically done zero PvP - barring a small group - I can't see how a glorfied wintergrasp with more players is going to have any lasting appeal.

I geniunely hope that my intial impressions are wrong as I want to be proved wrong as I was super excited about it before actually playing it.

Dont really have to pay, you can get the money from ingame and switch that way. It takes longer but if your a cheapskate then you could probably get the money together in a week
